Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actress and producer. In Mexico, she began her career by playing the character as Teresa in the Telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she received an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just a few of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress[6In addition, she earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films, while starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico later on in her career.
