sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was christened Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan on July 6 in 1946. The elder son of Italian-born Francesco "Frank" Stallone , Jr, a hairdresser, and Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. He has a younger brother named Frank Stallone, who is an actor and musician. Because of complications during childbirth, Sylvester's lower left side was paralyzed. The result was his famed "snarling" speech, slurred voice and distinctive appearance. Stallone had a portion of his childhood in foster care as a result of the volatile relationship between parents and children. After that, the couple broke up. Stallone was a drama student at the American College in Switzerland before moving on to the University of Miami. He left the school before getting his degree and relocating to New York City to pursue acting as a career.
