Lindsey Vonn, an American skier born on October 18 1984, won the gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in the downhill race. Vonn is ranked second to the top of the world in super scores for male and female skiers. She is among the best skiers around and also is the most liked american skier. Lindsey American World Cup alpine ski racer Caroline Vonn also known as Lindsey Vonn competes for the US Ski Team. There are the record of having four total World Cup victories. She has a long and distinguished tradition in American sports. Six women have been the only ones to win all five World Cup alpine ski events. Overall, she's won 82 World Cup championships. The top skier on the planet, and most successful American racer in ski racing have announced their retirements following their participation in the World Championship in Sweden. The four-time World Cup overall champion decided to step down following a string of ailments. Her announcement was made via social media. My last race of my racing career will take place in Re Sweden next week, in the Downhill World Championships, as well as SG World Championships.
